General Description

Perform general office and receptionist duties in the Department of Communication.

Essential Job Duties

1) Provide friendly and helpful customer service by welcoming and assisting visitors, giving building tours when requested.

2) Sort and distribute mail.

3) File and perform other general office duties.

4) Assist with departmental events and programs as necessary.

5) Answer and direct phone calls, and take and deliver messages.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

1) Be self-directed and motivated in a fast-paced environment.

2) Good interpersonal, customer service skills.

3) Possess good phone skills; including peasant manner and ability to take good messages.

4) Must be able to recognize and protect confidential information.

5) Ability to multi-task.

Preferred Major Mass Communication or Communication Studies
