General Description

The purpose of this position is to provide office administrative support for the Career Development Center.

Essential Job Duties

1) Provide friendly and helpful customer service by welcoming and assisting clients and visitors, answering and directing phone calls, and taking messages.

2) Schedule appointments and meetings

3) Follow procedures in order to maintain confidentiality.

4) Make daily reminder calls to clients.

5) Assist staff with processing paperwork, preparing presentation evaluation reports, gathering information for monthly reports, and monitoring office supply inventory.

7) Assist staff with administrative tasks as needed.

8) Assist with other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Great attitude and good interpersonal skills.

Be self-directed and motivated.

Maintain behavior consistent with being a role model to the UM community.

Adhere to appropriate ethical and legal requirements concerning confidentiality and client care.

Interact with clients and the UM community in an effective way.
