General Description

The purpose of this position is to assist the Materials Assistants in providing inventory control and the assembly/refurbishment of math and science kits for use in grades K-12.

Essential Job Duties

1. Construct and refurbish math and science teaching kits.

2. Assist with inventory control.

3. Assist in maintaining a database of teachers who are participants in AMSTI, and materials that are used in AMSTI.

4. Assist with the delivery and return of AMSTI kits and material.

5. Assist with stocking of kits and kit supplies, maintaining and rotating stock inventory supplies.

6. Assist in organizing the materials center to ensure efficient use of space and storage of materials.

7. Assist in maintaining a minimum level of cleanliness in the materials center to ensure efficient and safe operation of the warehouse.

8. Assist AMSTI staff with preparation for programs, trainings, presentations, and operation of the materials center.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office;
Demonstrated competence in oral and written communication;
Physical ability to stock and shelve inventory.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma/GED
Education substituted for experience? No

No experience is required.
Experience with inventory control system equipment is preferred.
Experience substituted for education? No

Licenses, Certification or Registrations

Valid driver’s license
Acceptable driving record
